Ernst and Young: How sustainable is your sustainability program?

Are you facing challenges justifying investments into sustainability practices and programs? If so, you share this challenge with most managers of corporate social responsibility programs. And unless you can articulate the financial returns of these activities, your sustainability budget may face sustainability challenges itself.

You can help us understand the value of these investments and their financial returns by participating in a collaborative project SKE plans to begin in August 2007.

Working with Ernst & Young and researchers from Sydney University and the University of NSW, we're using econometrics to model the financial impacts of companies' sustainability practices. We look specifically at changes in risk exposure, risk premium, costs incurred and benefits realised. The aim is to create a methodology to assist Australian organisations to better estimate the financial impacts of their sustainability practices.

Is your organisation interested in participating in the study? If so, please contact us.
