Dr Christina Boedker

Research Advisor

Christina has over 14 years of research and industry experience with UK, US and Australian organisations. She has held positions as Department Head in operations management and marketing, and headed consulting and research projects on strategy, human capital, management controls, risk, measuring intangibles, leadership and culture with organisations such as Carlson Companies, Microsoft, the Department of Finance, CSC, LexisNexis, the NSW Department of Lands, DEEWR, Victorian Government, BCA and others.

Christina has been awarded two Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence (2006, 2009) for her research on intellectual capital. She also holds the UK Advertising Standards Authority Award; the Mindshift Consulting Group Prize; Saunders Harris’ Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement; the Carlson Companies’ Award; MGSM’s Award for Competitive Intelligence; and MGSM’s Award for Human Resources Management.

Christina researches and lecturers at the Australian School of Business, UNSW.

She has done an Honours degree in Economics (1st class), a Master of Commerce degree in Accounting, an MBA in Financial Management, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Strategy and Accounting.

David Rowan White

Secretary

David is the principal of Zentricity, a consultancy which is focussed on helping people and organisations find clarity and direction. Zentricity specialises in hands-on advice on corporate governance, and emphasises the importance of protecting, nurturing and growing the interests of stakeholders in the governance process. David's current work is principally in the not-for-profit sector, where he helps and coaches boards, chairman and CEOs so they can accelerate the pace of social change in Australia.

David was previously Governance Director for Vodafone Asia Pacific and Australia, and the founder and chairman of the Vodafone Australia Foundation and the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation, the vehicles by which Vodafone's social and charitable objectives are delivered in Australia and Fiji.

David is a director of KidsXpress Limited, a charity delivering expressive art therapy to children who have undergone some kind of trauma, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Net Balance Foundation, a not-for-profit think-tank specifically set up to work with small to medium enterprises, research groups, academia and other not-for-profit groups in the pursuit of sustainable business. David is a member of the Professional Conduct Tribunal of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and is also an authorised civil marriage celebrant.

Mark Runnalls

Stakeholder Relations and Projects

Mark Runnalls has over 20 years experience in innovation, management consulting, project and programme management and stakeholder relations.

He is part of the research team and provides facilitation, interview, report writing and project management capabilities on behalf of the SKE since 2008. Previously Mark was a partner at Ernst & Young where he provided advice to clients in the areas of risk, innovation and technology. Over a period of 12 years Mark and his team developed many technology based product and service innovations used by the firm both in Australia and overseas.

Hayley Baines

Executive Assistant

Hayley Baines is Executive Assistant to Steve Vamos and supports the Society for Knowledge Economics.

Hayley has twenty years of experience in dynamic, energetic, fast-paced environments with global companies such as Microsoft Corporation, Microsoft Australia, MRM Partners Worldwide and McCann Worldgroup (The Interpublic Group of Companies).

Hayley has worked as a Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice President at Microsoft Corporation (US based), Managing Director at Microsoft Australia (Sydney subsidiary), Senior Vice President, Regional Director Asia Pacific at MRM Partners Worldwide and Executive Vice President, Regional Chairman Asia Pacific of McCann Worldgroup respectively.
