Workplaces of the Future Forum II - Approach and Agenda

The convening question for the forum is;

"How can we make Australian Workplaces more participative, fair, innovative, productive and sustainable by better utilising the skills and potential of every person at work?"

The workshop, facilitated by REOS Partners will steer the forum through a process of listening and sharing with a view to uncover deep insights to the thinking and mindsets that define our current state. This will be followed by a process of co design and co creation of potential interventions that can have impact.

Questions that will be explored include;

Workplace challenges, needs and realities?

We will consider issues and challenges in the way our workplaces function and perform.

Workplace expectations and aspirations?

We will consider the attributes of a workplace that represent the desired state now and in the future.

What causes the gap between realities and aspirations?

We will discuss the obstacles to workplaces achieving the desired state. The question often asked is why isn't common sense, common practice?

What can we do to address the barriers and close the gap?

We will work together to define a series of innovations and interventions that can address the gap and as a result have significant, broad ranging impact.

How can we/should we work together to close the gap?

We will discuss the need and desire to evolve the forum deliberations into an ongoing collaboration and its likely shape and form.

Specific Actions committed/next steps

At this point in the process we will also allow forum delegates to work with those who share the same passion for a particular area of action to define next steps and assign owners.
